How to choose a solar water pumping system?

The type of solar water pumping system: borehole/well (submerged), floating or surface will depend on the water source. If the source is a borehole (proposed or existing) or deep well, then a submersible pump that fits the borehole or well should be selected. If the water source is a river, then a surface pump should usually be selected.

What data should be included in a solar water pump design?

The specific data would be the size of the inlet and outlet that the water pipe would be connected to. Figure 14 a, b and c shows key dimensions of the three water pumps shown in Figure 13 and used in the solar water pumping systems used in Table 7.
