Does DC have a solar procurement program?

Since 2018, the DC Sustainable Energy Utility has operated the solar procurement process for SfA for DOEE. The program was established to support DC’s Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) goals to achieve 100 percent renewable energy by 2032 and 15 percent of energy from local solar by 2041.

How do I participate? The DCSEU issues a Request for Proposal (RFP) during the late summer or early fall for the DCSEU Solar for All (SfA) Program to retain one or more subcontractors to develop solar photovoltaic (PV) electric generation systems in the District of Columbia (District) as Community Renewable Energy Facilities (CREFs).

Does dcseu cover solar?

The cost of installing solar is fully covered by the DCSEU through the Solar for All Program. *Please note: Applying for this program does not guarantee your eligibility to receive a solar system or other benefits. The Solar For All program operates on a first-come, first-served basis and fulfillment is dependent on funding availability.
